    Fri 17 Feb 2017 J.Foxley
Year 2 performed their class assembly for the whole school, parents and grandparents - thank you all for attending! The theme was dinosaurs and the children talked about their recent trip to the Liverpool World Museum, followed wonderful storytelling (their own creation!) based on Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs. Well done Year 2 for a great assembly!
  • Year 1 Trip to Tesco - Farm to Fork

    Tue 14 Feb 2017 J.Foxley
Year 1 had a great time on their visit to Tesco as part of their 'Food and Farming' topic work. They were all fascinated to see how bread is made in the in-store bakery and particularly enjoyed seeing all the machines used at the different stages of production. They then made bread themselves, which turned out to be very successful for all (and tasty!). A fruit and veg hunt was also completed, along with a healthy taste testing session - well done to all for trying some new foods! Finally, the children turned their hands to making a low sugar cereal for their breakfast. They thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the store and would like to thank Michelle from Tesco for organising some very exciting activities for them.

    Thu 09 Feb 2017 J.Foxley

On Thursday 9th February Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Liverpool World Museum as part of their topic work on 'Dinosaurs'. There was much excitement about the trip especially when the children entered the dinosaur gallery. They discovered lots of fascinating facts and were able to take lots of information back to school to help with their topic work. They also enjoyed seeing all the creepy-crawlies, animals in the natural world display, and seeing artefacts from cultures around the world. The children look forward to sharing some of their findings with you in their topic work!

  • Internet Safety Day

    Tue 07 Feb 2017 J.Foxley

On Tuesday 7th February we took part in 'internet safety day' by completing numerous activities to learn about how to stay safe when online. The children learnt about the importance of keeping personal information safe when online, the power of images and social media online, and they observed how far around the world a picture can be viewed when posted online. Please take time to reinforce the important messages about internet safety with your children at home. Thank you for your continued support!
